I am hoping that Bruce is talking about meals/recipes/discussions inspired by Middle-earth. :D
Bring it on! :D

Bruce, do they have Merlot in ME, or a nice Chardonay like wine?

Bruse and all, I am going to invite all of you to a small intimate affair where I dwell in Rivendell. We will dine in the Hall of Fire...after dinner tales and lore supplied by master Bilbo Baggins. Autumn has come to the Valley of the Bruinen and we will celebrate its bounty.

Menu:

 We will start with steamed Butter Clams from the Bay of Belfalas in herbed olive oil wine sauce.
 Wine: Sauvignon Blanc
 Bruinen Valley Lentil Soup.
 Wine: Cabernet Sauvignon
 Pork Tenderloin with Raisons and Hazelnuts from the Shire.
 Russet Potatoes (Sam's favorites) with Roasted Garlic and Basil.
 Wine: Dry Riesling
 Bartlett Pear Strudel with Buckleberry Cream.
 Wine: Bag End Loganberry Liqueur.

Bring your appetite and imagination. :D

Riv Res~ I certainly hope you are providing 'accomodations' , as I wouldn't want to deal w/ orcs or such on my way home after such a feast!! :P

So does Buckleberry Cream come from the Buckleberry Ferry Dairy? :D
Sing and be glad, all ye children of the West,
for your King shall come again,
and he shall dwell among you
all the days of your life.

I most certainly accept. Perhaps I shall bring a Oban Single Malt to make the after dinner singing of tales a tad easier. 8)

Do we have to wear that foofy hat with horns? But then again, after drinking that much wine and changing to malt it won't make a difference.

When I arrive I shall most certainly be wearing that foofy hat with the horns and singing very loudly, even before the wine. Then after eating my way through Riv's menu I shall be sleeping in a comfy corner dreaming about towers, wizards and enormous waves.
Now let the song begin! Let us sing together
Of sun, stars, moon and mist, rain and cloudy weather...
