We will have some more excellent adventures to regale you all with in August as Marbretherese, Jonick and I have booked this:

Festival in the Shire

There will be so much going on that we won't know what to visit next. Shippey, Flieger, Garth, Howe, Nasmith and many more. I just hope the main people we want to see/hear don't clash. Three days of Middle-earth heaven!

I think I fell in love with Aragorn at this quote: I was done in by "high boots of supple leather". (ahem, whew, fanning myself)

I think I'll get out my copy of the Adventures of Tom Bombadil and enjoy those wonderful poems again. And also enjoy Pauline Baynes's wonderful illustrations along with them

Ah, well, obviously one of my favorites as well, since my signature quote is from it. Shippey wrote about how it is the language of the psalms. But I noticed for the first time tonight that only when your King is a Numenorean can it be promised that he will live among you all the days of your life!
