Ravenhill is near Erebor and it is significant for two reasons:

1. Thorin and Company were spending the night there when they met Rolic who advised them of Smaug's death.

2. During the Battle of the Five Armies, the elves of Mirkwood, Gandalf and Bilbo made their stand there.

I'm stumped all those I can think of involved in the Revolt had terrible ends. Unless you're thinking of Galadriel?
