Hi, Michka! I'm away from home (and my books!) for a while, but I may have a chance to look on New Years Day. We are definitely not 'hasty' in this game!
Sing and be glad, all ye children of the West,
for your King shall come again,
and he shall dwell among you
all the days of your life.

I found it! It's the Lord of the Eagles, in the chapter 'Out of the Frying-Pan into the Fire'. Here it is in the original English: 'What is all this uproar in the forest tonight? I hear wolves' voices! Are the goblins at mischief in the woods?' The French is interesting.

Thanks for being patient, Michka. I'll find another quote for you, maybe tonight!
Sing and be glad, all ye children of the West,
for your King shall come again,
and he shall dwell among you
all the days of your life.

I found one:

Who said, "Don't pretend that goblins can't count"?
Sing and be glad, all ye children of the West,
for your King shall come again,
and he shall dwell among you
all the days of your life.

"We will honor the commitments of the dead."

I know this one: Dain said it after Thorin died, in regard to who got what parts of the treasure.

I'll post another question soon!

Here's another one from The Hobbit. Who said, "Good-bye then, and really good-bye!"?

all the days of your life.

Yes, indeed, Michka! You must have memorized The Hobbit--you are very speedy at this! :sprint: :reading:

all the days of your life.

I'm taking a big guess but was it Bilbo speaking to Smaug?
