Re: Who Said It?
Correct as usual, Michka! Your turn . . .
Sing and be glad, all ye children of the West,
for your King shall come again,
and he shall dwell among you
all the days of your life.
for your King shall come again,
and he shall dwell among you
all the days of your life.

Re: Who Said It?
Well, this sounded like Bilbo, although I had to hunt for when he said it. It was after Thorin had outfitted him with the mithril coat. He followed the thought with, "but I expect I look rather absurd. How they would laugh on the Hill at home! Still I wish there was a looking-glass handy!" Very hobbit-like.
Sing and be glad, all ye children of the West,
for your King shall come again,
and he shall dwell among you
all the days of your life.
for your King shall come again,
and he shall dwell among you
all the days of your life.

Who said, "I will answer the second question first"?
Sing and be glad, all ye children of the West,
for your King shall come again,
and he shall dwell among you
all the days of your life.
for your King shall come again,
and he shall dwell among you
all the days of your life.

Re: Who Said It?

Re: Who Said It?
Michka's question is, who said, "Welcome to the valley"? I've got a guess, but I'm not sure.
Does anyone know this one? Otherwise, I'll try to look it up this weekend.
Sing and be glad, all ye children of the West,
for your King shall come again,
and he shall dwell among you
all the days of your life.
for your King shall come again,
and he shall dwell among you
all the days of your life.

I'll still play! Although now I can't remember what I thought the answer was!
We've got a rainy afternoon here, so I'll do some research after church!

Re: Who Said It?
Well, the time I had to look this up has vanished! So I'll just guess: was it Elrond?

all the days of your life.

on ne précise pas de nom, il est écrit ''un elfe de haute taille sortit des feuillages'' pour accueillir les nains et Bilbo

Re: Who Said It?
I'm on the road for a few days for our Thanksgiving holiday, but I'll post on new question on Sunday.
Sing and be glad, all ye children of the West,
for your King shall come again,
and he shall dwell among you
all the days of your life.
for your King shall come again,
and he shall dwell among you
all the days of your life.

Re: Who Said It?
Thank you, Michka! It was a lovely holiday.
Here's the next question:
Who said, ". . . so let us have a drink first to help the labour"?
