Drugs -- One of many names used for a race known to the Elves as Drúedain, or to later generations of Men as 'Woses'. The name Drûgs was used in Brethil in the First Age, where a uniquely close relationship developed between these people and the Folk of Haleth, the Edain that inhabited that forest region. It comes ultimately from their own name for themselves, though the correct plural form in their own language would be Drughu.

Woses -- A name among the Rohirrim for the shy, secretive people known in Elvish as the Drúedain. Though never populous, the end of the Third Age saw these people reduced to a few populations in the southern parts of Middle-earth, especially in the Drúwaith Iaur and Drúadan Forest of Rohan, where the Rohirrim came into contact with them.
In fact, the word 'wose' is a name from British folklore, referring to a hairy, troll-like being supposed to inhabit woods and forests. It represents Tolkien's translation of an actual word of the Rohirrim into ancient English; the Rohirrim themselves would not have called such a creature a 'wose', but a róg.

Why is the term "Half-Elven" less than adequate to describe Master Elrond of Imladris?

Elrond has quite a 'family tree' so to speak~ from the Edain he is descendant of Turor and Beren, from the Elves, not only Nimloth and Thingol, but also
Elenwë ( wife of Turgon) and Finwë~first high king of the Noldor. His lineage can also be traced back to Melian, a Maiar. SO it looks like the elven tree wins out!!!

Though he is known as 'Half-elven', Elrond's lineage is much more complicated than that title suggests. He could claim descent from all the main branches of the Eldar, each of the Three Houses of the Edain, and even from the Maiar. To be completely correct, he was slightly more than half-elven: actually nine sixteenths of his ancestors were Elves. A full breakdown of his descent works out like this:
Three eighths Edain, through two lines: his grandfather Tuor of the House of Hador, and his great-grandfather Beren of the House of Bëor. He was also descended from the third House of the Edain, the Haladin, through Tuor's grandmother Hareth.
Five sixteenths Sindar, again through two lines: his grandmother Nimloth and his great-great-grandfather Thingol.
Five thirty-seconds Vanyar, through his great-grandmother Elenwë, and also through his great-great-great-grandmother, Indis the second wife of Finwë.
Three thirty-seconds Noldor, through his great-grandfather, Turgon (who himself had only three-quarters Noldorin blood).
One sixteenth Maiar, through his great-great-grandmother Melian.
Half-elven is indeed a very inadequate description of Elrond's descent!

Merry, it is the River Celduin (River Running).

Well...the wines for the Elven King Thranduil came from this region. I would imagine that some of the grape varieties were Sonoma...but the region was named differently.
