oooo a hint. After morning errands while doing laundry...I'll be doing a bit of reading. BTW, I was thinking the gate keeper dude (the name escapes me) is one of the two. Could be wrong though.

Is the dude Beregond? (Sorry, Philipa!) Wow! You mean Tolkien even provided us with the detail of when he was born?

Yep, this is actually written in LOTR... don't have the quote here, but it states that they have the same age. Now on to go... think horses!

Oh, I meant that as a joke! :D Is the 'person' we're speaking of a horse?

It is probably someone from Rohan. Could it be Hama? ...as she remarks with her mouth and grabs straws with her hand. I need to go and read.

Arod was the horse of Legolas... nope Legolas is not the one we are looking for. But he is also a giver of horses! Now someone can answer; the first wins!

:-k OK I've not time to read before driving to the school to pick up the children. So, I'm going off the top of my head... it's pretty flat.

Eomer gives horses to Legolas, Gimli and Aragorn. But Eomer is a year younger (according to the calendars I've seen) then Pippen.

Theoden gives Shadowfax to Gandalf...but the King is years ahead of the young hobbit.

Ahhhh I have to go. Good luck to the next person. I've done some of the deducing for you (as I did Merry  ).

Oops i just made a mistake here.... indeed Eomer is one year older... but no problem there is still another one who had the same age. A new tip: he is related to Bergil of Minas Tirith; if you want to make a new question i can agree (since i had Eomer in mind)

Mistake...good, you're human.

Beren, let's go with a newbie trivia question. We have some new members and it would be nice to see them join in. :D

Level 1

Frodo was born in 1368 SR who were his parents.

Remember to dig out your copies of Lotr for those handy family tree charts. :D

Drogo Baggins and Primula Brandybuck were Frodo's parents. :P
