Lovely to see you here, cross-harps
. We're very into The Hobbit at the moment as we're ploughing through The Hobbit Calendar (see link above for the Great Years Calendar). It's certainly given us new insights into the book!
Now let the song begin! Let us sing together
Of sun, stars, moon and mist, rain and cloudy weather...

Thanks for the welcome, Iolanthe and Phillipa! It's nice to be here!
I have started lists of items for the trivia game and for the "Who Said It" game, so I will make it a point to post something in the morning!
First off, early tomorrow morning, I have to go and get all my stuff for Thanksgiving dinner, including the ingredients for the fabulous green bean casserole that Riv posted on VW last year! My daughter just swooned when she tried that casserole!

Yes, I have read a bit of the Hobbit Calendar but have not yet delved into the Great Years Calendar! They both look like massive undertakings, but the Hobbit Calendar is very interesting thus far.Iolanthe wrote:Lovely to see you here, cross-harps. Hallo
Hi out there,
finally I got here, through Viggo Works, where I'm a visitor & member since Lord of the Rings. Now in the X-mas time I'm not out filming, so I have time to be in the net and visit all sites and forums I love, and of course Middle Earth is one of my favourite topics.
Riv, how and overmore WHEN are you doing this all, both of these wonderful hosted sites and huge forums, you must be one of the elves princesses, by now I'm sure
Love, Gal

Hello! I am Meliel, and I am Lindariel's 12 year old daughter! Thank you very much to Riv Res for letting me become a member. Meliel is an elvish name that my mom created using her elvish dictionary. It means "daughter of love."
I was first introduced to Tolkien when I was about six years old. My mom read aloud The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings books to me. I have seen the movies and I thought they were very interesting.
I also am very thankful for all the comments on my story and drawing in the Yule contest.
I am so glad to be a part of this website!!!

A warm welcome to our youngest member! If your writing is any indication, though, you already have a well-developed sense of language. We look forward to your insights.
Sing and be glad, all ye children of the West,
for your King shall come again,
and he shall dwell among you
all the days of your life.
for your King shall come again,
and he shall dwell among you
all the days of your life.
