Just checking in to your wonderful new site, I love it! I have been a Tolkien fan for a long time, although only got serious a few years ago generated, of course, by LOTR the movie. My favourites are LOTR, The Silmarillion and Unfinished Tales. I found the Sil hard going but have read it a few times now and it has been well worth the effort.
I get a lot of joy in reading all of your posts and tend not to get involved because you're all so knowledgeable, however, I will join in when I can.
Thanks again, love the colours and artwork.

Hi everyone
I have loved Lord of The Rings forever.
I get completely lost in Tolkien's world and it was so lovely to see a site with Riv that was all about Tolien's work.
I have read The Silmarillion twice and it was slightly less hard work the second time!!!
My nick is in reverence to Legolas.
I may not be able to post a huge amount as I work and have two small boys, plus beloging to aother board, but I am looking forward to digging deeper into Tolkien and his work with the help of friends.

What can you see on the horizon? Why do the white gulls call? Across the sea, the pale moone rises, the ships have come to carry you home.

Hi, Leggy! I saw your name on the memberlist a while back, so we're glad to see you take the plunge. Welcome! Come and join the Silmarillion discussion group: having read it twice makes you an expert!
Sing and be glad, all ye children of the West,
for your King shall come again,
and he shall dwell among you
all the days of your life.
for your King shall come again,
and he shall dwell among you
all the days of your life.

Thank you, Merry. I said I had read it... doesn't mean I understood it all!!!
Yes I did register a little while ago, but I had trouble with my password, even had to change it again today, but it seems to be ok now. I usually get in mostly twice a week when hubby is on nights. So don't think I don't care if I'm not there!!!
(And love your nick too!!)
