Must admit, I had to look this one up. Michka, I think you are referring to a certain Thorongil, who Echthelion preferred to Denethor. We know Thorongil better as Aragorn, of course!

OK - who was it that betrayed Beren and Lúthien to Thingol, which ultimately led Thingol to give Beren the task of retrieving a Silmaril from Morgoth's crown?
