Very good 'essay' at the English, Michka! I understood you perfectly well. Some day, I will try to answer in French!
But there is a more concrete and historical answer to the question. Clue: it is found in The Return of the King!

on raconte que le bouclier de Thorin fut fendu en deux; il le jeta, avec sa hache il abattit une branche de chêne, l'empoigna de la main gauche, pour s'en servir comme d'une massue, d'où son nom

C'est cela, Michka!
I remember reading The Hobbit as a ten-year-old and loving the name 'Thorin Oakenshield'. I couldn't even say why; I'm not sure I can say why today, other than that it seems noble and organic. But that misses the mark, as Sam would say!
A votre tour!

Just in case some other people may drop by, here's my translation of the question: Who seized the boat before it was carried away by the current?

J'ai l'impression que le jeu est en panne; faut-il une réponse et une autre question, ou juste attendre un peu?

No, Michka, the game isn't over, and I have an answer for your question. I generally take a back seat in these games because I realized after a while that my questions tended to be too esoteric for some of our members, and I didn't want to discourage participation in the games.
Balin caught the boat before it could disappear down the river.
Here's my question:
Two hobbits were named Elf-friend in The Professor's tales. Who were these hobbits, and who bestowed this title upon them?

Je pense que l'un des deux est Bilbo, nommé par le roi de la montagne , et je cherche le deuxiéme....

Michka, you are half-right. Bilbo WAS named Elf-friend, but not by the King Under the Mountain. Then, there's the matter of the second Hobbit to be named Elf-friend . . . (Clue: in a different book).

I'm guessing, but Bilbo was named 'elf-friend' by Elrond, and Frodo, by Gildor ...

Serinde, you are also half-right.
Frodo was named Elf-friend by Gildor Inglorion when Frodo, Sam, and Pippin met up with the Wandering Company after their initial scare with the Black Riders and wound up spending the night with the elves in Woodhall.
However, Bilbo was NOT named Elf-friend by Elrond. It was someone else. Now, who might THAT be?

Serait-ce par le roi des elfes?

Mais si c'est cela,je n'ai pas tout le mérite, alors décidez qui doit jouer à son tour, le plaisir étant de chercher et participer,ok?

Correct, Michka and Serinde!
Bilbo was named Elf-friend by Thranduil, the Elvenking, in The Hobbit, and Frodo was named Elf-friend by Gildor Inglorion in The Fellowship of the Ring.
Hmmm . . . Michka and Serinde, since you each provided part of the answer, why don't you consult via PM and come up with the next question together?
