I love the line, which is from Gimli, I think?
Sing and be glad, all ye children of the West,
for your King shall come again,
and he shall dwell among you
all the days of your life.

That's right, Merry, Gimli says it about visiting Lothlorien and meeting with Galadriel.

Over to you . . . :D
"Torment in the dark was the danger that I feared, and it did not hold me back.
But I would not have come, had I known the danger of light and joy."

Here's a little change of pace:
Lord, we are but mortal Men, and unlike the Eldar. They may endure for long years awaiting battle with their enemies in some far distant day; but for us the time is short, and our hope and strength soon wither. Moreover we did not find the road to Gondolin, and indeed we do not know surely where this city stands; for we were brought in fear and wonder by the highways of the air, and in mercy our eyes were veiled.
Level 3!
Sing and be glad, all ye children of the West,
for your King shall come again,
and he shall dwell among you
all the days of your life.

I am very proud of myself, because it is the first level 3 question I could answer right away (without looking up). But that's because I just read the book, and it is all still fresh :). I think it is from the first chapter of "the Children of Hurin", where Hurin speaks to Turgon.

Well done, indeed, Elorin! I just read the first chapter myself this week, so I couldn't resist!

Your turn . . .
Sing and be glad, all ye children of the West,
for your King shall come again,
and he shall dwell among you
all the days of your life.

This is my next quote:

But I will sit and hearken, and be glad that through you great beauty has been wakened into song.
It is a level 2 question

Elorin, I believe that it was Ilúvatar himself who spoke those words.

I don't know, but I'm hazarding a guess: I think only Gandalf talks in capitals. True?
Sing and be glad, all ye children of the West,
for your King shall come again,
and he shall dwell among you
all the days of your life.

Somehow I seem to remember it was Bilbo. Perhaps in his birthday speech?

My turn:
I see that I have turned my eyes to a treasure no less dear than the treasure of Thingol that Beren once desired.
I suppose this is a level 1.5 question?
