I don't blame him, looking at it I'd be clinging to the rocky walls and any overhanging ferns for dear life

Cerin Amroth Revisited
The golden trees are now trimmed in silver and there is a little air space in that monster tree.

I finished this one from my watercolor class.
Thanks to Lindariel who found there were vineyards in Dorwinion.

I love the new Cerin Amroth, Riv, that lighter silver and the bits of space do make a difference. The tree looks less heavy

. Great success!
And the pattern and colour of the vine leaves are wonderful in the Dorwinion pic - you've caught them exactly. I like the touch of the Elvish 'D' for Dorwinion on the bottle. Pity you can't offer the wine with the poster, you'd be onto a winner!!!

Riv, I LOVE what you have done with the Cerin Amroth painting. Now I see openings in the trees where the flets could peek through. The vineyard painting is also wonderful. I really wonder what that Dorwinion wine must have been like, since it was potent enough to render elves snoring drunk!

That silver really works on the revision of Cerin Amroth, Riv - it's far more delicate and 'elvish' than the gold - and I love your Dorwinion Vineyards painting. I can smell the wine from here

I've re-sized my pic as requested, Iolanthe - now it's
huge
Let me know if it's too big

Nah - not too big, it's now the same size as the other ones

. I can see Gollum much better now and have just noticed the fish in his mouth!

I agree with everyone, RR--the mallorns look much better and the grape leaves are perfect! It will be fun to see this landscape series all together (although my favorite is still the Gaffer's Garden!).

Gorgeous paintings Riv! I love the silver linings on the trees, and I simply LOVE the colors in Vineyards in Dorwinion! The grapes are in my favorite color and I love the way the leaves look! Well done!
marbretherese, I love the larger version of your painting. I now see the splash of the waterfall!

I love the way the mountains look in the background.
I wish I had a talent like that.

thanks, Airwin! I'm extremely proud of the mountains, but I have to admit the splash of the waterfall was a happy accident

The whole composition is wonderful marbretherese. Don't you just love happy accidents? I learn more from those than practicing for days.

Do you mean like when I knocked a bottle of white ink over
The Mirror of Galadriel and used about 6 swear words (2 of which no one else has ever heard of) before collapsing in a heap on my dining table clutching a damp wad of Bounty Extra Strength Kitchen Paper and quietly sobbing
