My elvish name is Hadrielia
Human: Aaweth Princess of Dol Amroth
Wizard: Olórin
Thanks for the link to the name generator! I never realized that there is one and was always asking myself, where the middle-earth names of people I met came from.

I bet most people choose them for themselves (thus avoiding being Ivy Grubb

).
ETA: Hey! This is a different generator than the one I got Ivy Grubb from! I'm now
Jollyra Darnswool of the Bree. Much better

Yes, it's a different generator. The old one disappeared off the net. I'm so glad your name has been altered to something more...feminine.

What interesting names I got.
My first name:
Hobbit: Gwinoic Sackville, Princess of the halflings (Uh.......)
Elf: Puwen Undomiel (That doesn't sound very ladylike to me...)
Dwarf: Muniver Orc-death (Sounds like Gimli's nickname.)

Human: Drimeth, White Lady of Rohan (Uh.......)
Wizard: Olorin, White Rider (Doesn't sound like me...but it sounds familiar...)
My first and last name:
Hobbit: Rybrylla Long Cleve of Buckland (Now THAT'S what I'm talking about...but were Long Cleves living in Buckland?)
Elf: Hiothiel High Queen of the Elves (that's nice. )
Dwarf: Ceana, Queen of the Glittering Caves (I have a friend named Ciana!)...........(Wait a minute...wouldn't this make me Gimli's wife!?!?!)
Human: Cadade Telecontar (Cadade...sounds like dish soap to me.)
Wizard: Alatar, Lady of Forests (ooh. I like that!

)
My full name:
Hobbit: Braryan Goodchild of Hardbottle (Goodness gracious!

)
Elf: Isidien Shipwright (Interesting...)
Dwarf: Raevyan of Moria (Yikes.)
Human: Davia Princess of Ithilien (Finally a good human name)
Wizard: Sharkey Stormcrow (

I have no idea.)
Hope you liked them.

I'd stick with the middle list - that makes you High Queen of the Elves and Queen of the Dwarves at one and the same time, and if you're a Telcontar then you must be related to Aragorn and the new royal house

. Pity about Gimli though. Perhaps you can leave him at home in the Glittering Caves while you ride about visiting your elvish, dwarvish and human minions (don't forget the crown)

I found another
Middle-earth name generator. This one is full of surprises.
According to the Red Book of Westmarch,
In Middle-earth, *** was a
Popular Variag
Elven Name Possibilities for ***
The root name suitable for feminine and masculine is:
Lossentasarë
Another masculine version is:
Lossentasarëion
More feminine versions are:
Lossentasarëiel
Lossentasarëien
Lossentasarëwen
Hobbit lad name for ***
Saradoc Gardener from Tuckborough
Hobbit lass name for ***
Angelica Gardener from Tuckborough
Dwarven Name for ***
Gimli Copperear
This name is for both genders.
Orkish Name for ***
Ghâshklâsh the Crazed
This name is for both genders.
Adûnaic name for ***
Haiyatudkan
Variag
*what the heck is a variag?? and those elven names are truly to long.
But now I do like being an Angelica Gardener.
And Ghâshklâsh the Crazed is right up my alley.
I like how the dwarf names are male and female. This kind of makes sense when you live in a cave like environment.

Variags are inhabitants of a country called Khand, in southern Middle Earth, between Mordor and Harad. They aren't Haradrim, and nothing really is said about them, which makes one wonder why Tolkien put them in at all. Maybe they were to have some crucial role in a book he never got around to writing? One website says the Variags were very loyal to Sauron whereas the Haradrim were just tricked. At least that makes a bit of sense. In fact I don't think we're even told they're humans. They might be orcs. Or elves. Or aaracokra.
The Variag ambassador was not very popular at the royal court of Gondor.
From the urban dictionary.

How Fun Philipa!
Here are my results:
According to the Red Book of Westmarch,
In Middle-earth, ***** was a
Revered Elf
Elven Name Possibilities for *****
The root name suitable for feminine and masculine is:
Gorothcair
Another masculine version is:
Gorothcairion
More feminine versions are:
Gorothcairiel
Gorothcairien
Gorothcairwen
Hobbit lad name for *****
Porto Gamgee from The Far Downs
Hobbit lass name for *****
Adamanta Gamgee from The Far Downs
Dwarven Name for *****
Dori Poolguard
This name is for both genders.
Orkish Name for *****
Gromwakh the Meek
This name is for both genders.
Adûnaic name for *****
Azdikhaphur
Hmmm, I'm a Revered Elf, but I don't much care for the sound of the Elven names, and the root name, as best I've been able to determine using my two Elvish dictionaries, means Horror/Dread (goroth) Ship (cair). That's not terribly positive! Or ? (go) Foam (roth) Ship (cair), which is better, but then what does the go- part mean?
I do like the idea of being named Adamanta Gamgee, though!

Riv thank you for that information on the variags. I'm not sure even with the kind word of 'popular' in front I want to be one.

That's okay, Philipa. When I entered my name, it reported that I was a world-famous Cave Troll!

This is a good name generator! Apparently, according to the Red Book of Westmarch, In Middle-earth, I was a Troublesome Rohirrim (pretty much sums me up perfectly. How did they know?

)
Elven Name Possibilities : Ringfiniel, Ringfinien, Ringfinwen (rings, cool!)
Hobbit lass name : Berylla Gamgee from Needlehole (sounds like a seamstress)
Dwarven Name : Malin Bronzeskull (I
really like that one!)
Orkish Name : Kurkûl the Sneak (ah well, can't win 'em all. . . )
thanks, Philipa, that was fun!

Well, that explains a lot

.
Good to know Lindariel is a 'meek' orc. It must have been hell at orc school.
Turns out I'm a
Sword-swinging Gardner
. That's one way to cut the lawn and probably explains why everything dies after I prune it.
Elf name: Waendiliel
Hobbit name: Tanta Bracegirdle from Combe. That is very cool because I used to know someone called Hilary Bracegirdle (yes.... really!)
Dwarf name: Dóin Mithrilskull. I reckon a Mithrilskull will beat a Bronzeskull any day

.
Orcish name: Ashwúrz the Massive
Very
