Re: Who Said It?
Sorry, Lindariel, I read your last message so quickly that I didn't see the next question at the bottom. I don't think I need a clue: that's Gandalf to Bilbo, right? He is calling attention to the fact that the dwarves left a message for Bilbo on the mantle before they left.
Sing and be glad, all ye children of the West,
for your King shall come again,
and he shall dwell among you
all the days of your life.
for your King shall come again,
and he shall dwell among you
all the days of your life.

Re: Who Said It?
Correct! I just couldn't resist a quote that began with "Great elephants!"
The next question is yours!

Re: Who Said It?
Perhaps it should have been 'Great Oliphaunts'!
Who said, "'Ere, 'oo are you?"?
Who said, "'Ere, 'oo are you?"?

Re: Who Said It?
Since no one has ventured a guess, I will.
Aren't those the words uttered by the purse that Bilbo attempted to pinch from William's pocket?
Speaking of pinching: Who said, "Don't pinch!"

Re: Who Said It?
Michka, you will find this quote in The Hobbit. I think that is what you mean by "Bilbo."

Je pense que c'est un aigle à Bilbo quand il l'emmène:''Ne pincez pas vous n'avez pas besoin d'avoir peur, qu'y a -t-il de meilleur que voler?''

Re: Who Said It?
Correct Michka! It's your turn to ask a Who Said It? question!

Re: Who Said It?
Michka, since more than a week has passed since you posted your question, I'll try an answer. This game becomes much more interesting when translation from one language to another is involved! Translations from the French version of the Professor's tales might not exactly match the original English quote, and you chose a tricky one! I wonder how many times Tolkien referred to the rising moon in his books?!
At any rate, I believe the quote you chose, which I have translated as "The moon rises. Wait!," would be the first few words spoken by the old thrush to Bard the Bowman as he was shooting arrows at Smaug during the dragon's attack on Laketown. The complete quote from the original English version of The Hobbit is, "Wait! Wait! The moon is rising. Look for the hollow of the left breast as he flies and turns above you!"
Am I correct?

Re: Who Said It?
It's not a problem at all Michka! Adding the translation issues to the game makes it more challenging, and therefore, more FUN!
Who said, "Go away! little boys!"
