We are awaiting a blizzard and more than a foot of snow here in Iowa so, yes, I'll have some time to play the game for a couple of days! But I have no idea where to start looking for this quote. A clue?

Yes, it was in the chapter "Roast Mutton" after Gandalf cleverly began the rescue from the trolls.
