Anybody want to take a guess?

Here's a hint: you'll need FOTR (and ROTK for the bonus).

Please pardon us, Airwin--we have to be the slowest trivia board on the 'net! (Take a look at the 'Who Said It' thread for more proof!) Think of it as Entmoot Trivia.

Well, Airwin, I must admit that you have me stumped! I can't think of anything that would be an official emblem. The only thing I can think of is the Evening Star, which in Tolkien's mythology is one of the Silmarils, aloft in the sky with Earendil. Is that what you have in mind?

Any other guesses?

Airwin's going on vacation but I can give you a hint. I just read about it in the Sil in the chapter entitled 'Of Eldamar and the Princes of the Eldalie'. The symbol reappears in FotR.

Broccoli?

Okay, I have read the chapter 'Of Eldamar', and I'm still guessing, 'cause I see nothing there about an emblem. Is it the White Tree, Galathilion?

Your right! Though I really like the broccoli idea.

The tree also is on the entrance of Moria. :D

You are up.

Oh! Never made the connection with the Moria drawing, but of course, that makes sense.

Question: Who was Aegnor's sister?

Ok I'm going out on the limb here but I think he was one of Finarfin's sons which makes him the brother of Galadriel. (:-o<

You're not on a limb at all, although Galadriel might like being on a limb!

Your turn--

What beginning and end events made up the Peace of Arda?

A hint? There was a discussion regarding the 'trees' which factor into this question.

OK the second half of the answer is the destruction of Telperion and Laurelin.

What would be the event which starts off The Peace of Arda?

Should I start with another question?
