Holy mackerel I wasn't thinking horses until the huge hint. How is this horse considered 'mansbane' Bruce?

Your answer lies in the Appendix A: The House of Eorl.
"Come hither Mansbane and get a new name!"

Thank you Bruce.
Level 1 question
What nation (for lack of better word) built Isengard?
Bonus question:
What did the Ents plant there after it's fall during the WR and what was it called there afterward?

So Snowmane's inadvertent killing of his master had a historical precedent as well! Learn something new every day.

Is there any takers for these questions?

The Ents planted trees--an orchard, I think.

They did Merry but what was it called?

Well, this is from memory, so I'm not too confident, but I think it was called the 'Treegarth' of Orthanc. Oh, yes, and Gondor built the tower early in its history. I assume that Saruman redecorated according to his own taste.

You have a memory like an oliphaunt my dear.
As for redecorating...I can't image what was in his corners of the room.

Oh, if only that were true, Philipa. I remember odds and ends of things, usually what I don't need to remember, and I can't remember what I need to! 'Treegarth' probably sticks because it is kind of a neat word and I don't know what it means!
Here's one: Of whom does our author say that "he was more cruel than any orc"? (Level 1)

Perhaps that failed painter from Austria who made of a muck of things in the 20th century?

Bruce you are always the jokester.
"he was more cruel than any orc"?
Was this 'he' a 'she' by any chance? I'm thinking Shelob.

Sadly, lots of candidates come to mind, don't they, Bruce?
Nope, not a 'she', Philipa.
