This thread seems to be somewhat dormant, but it looks like a general "chat" type thread, and thereby serves the purpose. I apologize for not being around for a while. Unfortunately, I have had a bit of a difficult year up until now, but I'm back in the pink, so to speak. I have finally decided to retire at the end of next summer which will take a lot of the pressure off me.

I hope everybody is happy and healthy. Image

Great to see your message here, Shieldmaiden! And good to know that you are well. There are only a few of us rattling around this place these days, but we manage to entertain ourselves here nonetheless. There's usually some activity in the Hobbit movie thread. Hope to hear from you often!

Hello, faithful remnant! The road goes ever ever on, and I'm going to be joining it for a few days to visit family for Thanksgiving. So you're on your own for the trivia questions, not that I've been help in that regard lately!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to you too Merry and to all of our MeJ friends! I'm NOT traveling because this year, family members are coming HERE! Yikes! I will be busy cooking and cleaning, but chances are I will stop in here from time to time.

Travel safely and have a great holiday!

très heureux et joyeux Thanksgiving à tous, ce n'est pas une fête habituelle chez nous, mais je m'y suis accoutumée depuis le moment où je me suis inscrite aux forums divers de Tolkien, ou VW. Alors bonne fête!!!

Thanks to the Lindariels and Happy New Year right back at ya!

2012 should be a great year for Tolkien fans and we've already seen glimmers of that from PJ. It will be wonderful to see how it all evolves. Perhaps we will need to rerun our own Hobbit calendar in preparation!

That's a great idea, Merry! it would be lovely to read it all again - we put so much work into it.

Happy New Year!

une triste nouvelle en ce début d'année, le décès de Bob Anderson, grand maître d'armes, qui avait entraîné Viggo-Aragorn et bien d'autres acteurs au combat à l'épée

Sad news indeed, but thanks for telling us. May he rest in peace.

The events of The Hobbit begin in April, so we'll start the calendar then, marbretherese! I'm looking forward to it, too.
